Practices

The Bruisers hold indoor practices weekly at H&R Hockey on Pole Line Road (in the complex of large yellow industrial building across from KMart).
WHEN
Sundays: 5:00-7:00pm
Tuesdays: 6:45-8:45pm
WHAT TO WEAR
Something you can move in and strap elbow pads, knee pads and wrist guards over and SOCKS!
WHAT TO BRING
You’ll need to bring a water bottle and $1 for a new mouth guard. We have pads, helmets, and skates for you to borrow. Pad sizes are limited so if you have any of your own gear please bring that with you.
DO I HAVE TO KNOW WHAT I’M DOING?
Not at all. Most of us started playing derby after taking a 15 year break from skating. 
We’ll teach you how to stop, go, fall and the ins and out of roller derby.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
Your first practice is 100% FREE! Derby isn’t for everyone, but once you’re bitten by the booty blocking bug, there isn’t much you can do to shake it. We ask for $5 for each practice after your first one to help cover our rink costs.
Please show up at least 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork and gear up.
