My skater name is Mistress Contusion and I chose that mostly because I’m not very creative!! I wanted to have something that went with our Bruiser theme but also wanted to have something that makes people wonder a bit…..

What do you love most about Derby?
There are many things – I absolutely love that at practices and games we work as hard as we can to legally kick each other’s butts and then can go to the after party and be best friends. Also, derby is harder then I ever thought it would be – physically and mentally—and I always love a good challenge!
Who inspires you and why?
I’m inspired by anyone who tries things outside of their comfort zone – especially if it’s something they’re not good at but they try anyway.
Do you have a favorite Derby Girl?
I would have to say that my favorite derby girl is anyone who helps keep this league going which is a full time job for some!! Skating is the easy part – doing everything else is killer and I appreciate everyone who holds office, coaches us, organizes events, etc.
